
I am Obese. I am Unhealthy. I am scared as hell of illness and yet I have let my weight escalate to a number that is mind boggling. I hate this place that I've allowed myself to get to and not just because of the number on the scale but because I FEEL so crappy. I have terrible digestive issues. I have headaches. I feel uncomfortable in my body and quite honestly I am sick and tired of feeling like CRAP. I am tired of missing out on experiences with my family because I don't have the stamina, strength or flexibility needed. This extra weight is holding me back in so many ways.
I was not always like this. Most of my life I've participated in sports, or have taken fitness classes. Unlike many people, I don't hate exercise, if fact I like it. I also like cooking and eating healthy. I like feeling fit and strong. I like meditating and practicing yoga. I like taking walks outside in the morning with my husband... It's such an amazing start to my day.
So, what the hell am I doing? Why do I let myself slip into these periods in which I stop making my health and wellness a priority? This year as I embrace my OLW {DO}. I want to look more closely into my habits. I want to investigate which emotional needs have to be met in order for me to put my health and wellness before all else. I want to pay close attention to what my mind, body and spirit need in order to move well and feel better. I want to make my health my priority this year. Let's DO this!

Here’s my full wellness plan for 2020:
1. Move my body everyday! No matter what. Even if just a walk in the morning.
2. Do my circuit exercises- a plan developed by my trainer-3 times per week
3. Eat a primarily whole food, plant-based diet.
4. Meditate for at least 10 minutes/ day
5. Drink water
6. Practice yoga 2 times per week
7. Get 7 hours of sleep every night
8. Do core exercises every day
9. Floss my teeth and wash my face every night
10. Write in my gratitude journal every night before bed
