Distancing - Day 2

Still monitoring our symptoms... I’ve developed a cough that feels as if it might be settling in my chest but that is no different than what normally happens when I get sick, so I’m just staying calm for now.  I’ve been told to monitor my temperature but my thermometer broke and stores are sold out! I’m going to see if I can order one from Amazon today.

Our day 2 very similar in structure to day 1...
  • Decided to skip coffee today and settled instead for a glass of water. I’ve had a lot of heartburn lately and notice it’s exasperated by drinking coffee.
  • Breakfast: oatmeal with fresh raspberries, walnuts and a touch of maple syrup.
  • Took the dogs outside for some fresh air and exercise.
  • Worked on the laundry. It feels so good to be caught up!
  • Tuesday’s daily cleaning is glass and mirrors. I love my cloths from Norwex. I ordered them a few years ago and use them daily.Today I boiled some water and soaked them just to be sure everything was all good with them.
  • I’m working in zone 1 of my house this week, which is my kitchen and pantry. Years ago I came across the idea of zone cleaning from Flylady and over  the years have developed a schedule that works for me. Today was wiping down the front of the kitchen cabinets, which my youngest did, and inside the cupboards. I set my timer and get done what I can. This is my deep cleaning I remove everything, give it all a good scrub, purge what I no longer need/ want and then put it all back. I’ll need to get through a couple more tomorrow.
  • Lunch was leftover taco soup and we  watched about 30 minutes of the documentary- Heal-  that we started yesterday

  • My daughter is home from college so she joined me on an afternoon walk with the dogs. It was cold and windy but it felt good to be out in the brisk, fresh air.
  • Took a little time to meditate and relax before making dinner. I am loving  the guided meditations on the YouTube channel- Linda Hall Meditations.
  • Dinner was veggie burgers on rolls, macaroni salad and roasted asparagus with lemon and pepper.
  • After dinner, our family drove up to the school and played with the dogs. We bring all types of balls and they run around like crazy. I love that they can get out all of their energy in a safe space and don’t become muddy messes in the process.
  • For some creative time I worked in my art journal.
And that about wraps up day 2 of distancing.
